White Velvet Events is a wedding and events planning service that provide a full range of services for your special occasion. We offer invaluable experience and knowledge with fresh and inspirational ideas tailored to suit your individual style.
We take the hassle out of planning and make sure there is no stress for our clients so they can enjoy quality time with their guests or clients/colleagues. We also offer full catering if required from our award winning chef, Kevin MacGillivray of Velvet Cuisine. The Velvet team will pull out all the stops to make your event a memorable and magical celebration.
I’m Ann MacGillivray, the face behind White Velvet Events with a wealth of experience working in the wedding and events business for over 20 years before starting White Velvet Events.
I have been married to Kevin for over 30 years, who has recently set up ‘Velvet Cusine’ to run alongside White Velvet Events.
I am based in Ayrshire after years working for award winning venues across Scotland. During that time, I have built up an extensive list of outstanding suppliers and have great relationships with venues throughout Scotland.
On days when I am not assisting wedding couples with their big day or organising a special event, you will likely find me walking the many stunning beaches along the Ayrshire coast. At the end of the day, sometimes I get to enjoy a nice glass of white wine, while my loving husband cooks up a storm in the kitchen!
I set up White Velvet Events because I am passionate about planning events and everything I do is about attention to detail, providing a reassuring personal touch to ensure my clients have a memorable and magical day.
I use my knowledge and experience to help organise other special occasions, such as christenings, birthdays, retirements, graduations or anniversary parties.
